DRONAMICS APPOINTS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, LAUNCHES DRONAMICS AIRLINES IN CANADA, AUSTRALIA AND EUROPE
INTRODUCING OUR NEW COO
We close out the quarter with some exciting news to share - as part of the ramp-up of our commercial operations, it is our great pleasure to announce that we have appointed the seasoned aviation executive Sergio Oliveira e Silva as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Sergio joins DRONAMICS from his former position of Managing Director, Asia of a global aviation services public listed company. Over a 25-year career, Sergio has held executive-level positions with some of the industry's largest operating companies within different international regions for both privately held and publicly listed companies.
“I’m very much looking forward to being part of the team that will bring into the market the next-generation logistics networks for e-commerce, pharma, agriculture shipments, special cargo, and spare parts. I am excited to be again involved in another successful pioneer venture within the aviation logistics industry”.
- Sergio Oliveira e Silva, COO at DRONAMICS
As a COO of DRONAMICS, Sergio will be responsible for the set-up and operations of our airline business (more on that below), the deployment of the droneport network, and the upcoming operational authorizations under the fast-evolving drone regulations around the globe. The appointment comes as the first step in building up our global structure that will support the roll-out of the same-day delivery service of DRONAMICS, and we couldn't be happier that Sergio is joining our team to help make our vision a reality!
ANNOUNCING DRONAMICS AIRLINES
We're also very happy to announce the first markets in which we're building our upcoming same-day unmanned cargo service -- Europe, Canada and Australia.
Over the past couple of months we've been working hard on setting up DRONAMICS Airlines Ltd (Ireland), DRONAMICS Airlines Inc (Canada) and DRONAMICS Australia Pty Ltd (Australia) in order to prepare our airfreight operations in each of their respective regions, led by our new COO, Sergio O. Silva.
Why these 3 regions first? On one hand, they are all leaders in drone regulations, but they happen to also be the regions where we have our first customer cases in e-commerce, pharma and spare parts logistics, details on which we'll be unveiling later this year.
And with more than 40 airport locations in Europe and 50+ around the world, we'll continue to grow our droneport network and keep adding millions of people within 60 minutes of a DRONAMICS Droneport, until we make our vision of affordable same-day shipping for everyone everywhere a reality.
FIND OUT MORE
Now, more than ever before, it’s vital for countries to ensure uninterrupted trade and supply lines with their neighbors no matter what, and our international droneport network will allow just that. In Europe, Canada and Australia our 2,500 km range can easily cover the whole region from a single warehouse, but we're actively working towards launching worldwide as well.
